CRUCIBLE 1.0.0 patch #3 (Part 1 of 2)
CORP BLUEPRINTS MISSING COLUMNS: Lovely upgrade. Not only is the type face annoying, but the CORP BLUEPRINTS tab is missing "columns"... which means, not only can I not see what is what, but if I scroll through, all unseen blueprints are missing any idea of an ME (or PE) - I actually have no idea what number I'm looking at. EXAMPLE: "Ogre SD-90 [lots of space] Combat Drone Blueprint [space] Blueprint [space 1 [space] No [space] 300" ......THAT'S ALL: NO column lines.. NO column headers for me to see what numbers are referring to what, and to top it of, when you scroll lower, ALL NUMBERS AND INFO FOR ANY BLUEPRINT IS SIMPLY NOT THERE. Top it off with A LACK OF COLUMN HEADERS, and you have yourself a REAL CLUSTER FRAK. Seriously...
TYPEFACE TOO LARGE: Several problems going on here with the "new typeface". It's too big... as in, it's too wide. You leave no option for anyone to type anything smaller than the "bolded" version provided, yet your system chat tabs and the annoying time and date are "thin". SO PAY ATTENTION TO EACH TYPEFACE RELATED ISSUE:
TYPEFACE ISSUE #1: All numbers are too big, and the "zero" is ridiculously "convoluted" or "large". Yet in the realm of symbols, they suck.
EXAMPLE of "suck": The time reads 0805. My corpmate's security state reads 55. A pipeline in my PI says 410%. On a large flatscreen 1080p screen, the thin version of your own font (that you don't let us be able to type) is terribly thought out. It is too thin and all SYMBOLS are too small and but up next to the left side of any number or letter. SO MUCH SO, that you can't read them. This is bad for reading the TIME, reading any mass PRICES on the MARKET, etc. CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.
TYPEFACE ISSUE #2: TOO BIG. For gods' sake, when a friend logs in, I see the "log in contact square" in the lower right hand corner... but i can't see their face because it is covered up by their name... Long names especially go beyong and ABOVE the square itself. What's the point of having a picture icon there? Another reason to CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.
TYPEFACE ISSUE #3: Font size too big that it also DESTROYS the "NEOCOM" interface and that the speed and "warping" notifications are jsut too big and misaligned bottom-heavy that interrupt the actual normal 100% aspect ration of the warp meter. SERIOUSLY, CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.
TYPEFACE ISSUE #4: Dare I even try to elaborate on the CEO and Alliance Interface? Now it's WAY TOO BIG and extends BEYOND the scope of the "width" of the screen and the arrows (as reported in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 - why do I even bother) the arrows to scroll further along "left" or "right" of options is simply non-responsive. So now cannot properly manage my own corporation (especially the give/take options for each container - or managing roles...) so CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. SERIOUSLY.
I MEAN IT: "SERIOUSLY" being defined as: IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE IN-GAME FONT CHANGES A SERIOUS CONSIDERATION (...no, the 90% reduction only makes the "font suckage" worse) then: LET US DECIDE WHICH FONT WE WANT: Period.
SERIOUS VISUAL ILLNESS: IN-STATION CAMERA SEA-SICKNESS: Seriously? You guys thought it would be fun, instead of making the ships in the hangar move around slightly "adrift", to make the entire camera move about? Not good. It's sickening to have the entire station moving up, down right, left, etc while working in station. Please revert it back to just the ship actually moving in these directions... [It's becoming physically sickening to play this game now, on top of the drudgery of all the previous bugs a year or more old...] Look, you ended up giving us back the statio hangars because some of us wanted it... I'm only suggesting you should give US the option to choose whether we want the new EVE font.. or the old original version. And maybe, just maybe, that will also fix the CORP BLUEPRINTS issue.
PLANET HURTOKEN II: It's become (once again) the Rainbow Brite Empire Homeworld of pink, green and blue blob-like pixels... I have so many images I've submitted in bug reports for almost 2 years now about that one planet and no one seems to care. So there, I've said it again. Does ANYONE AT CCP care? Probably not, so why bother filing yet a third bug report about it?
WINDOW TRANSPARENCY "DOWN THE TUBES": Why bother with having the transparency of a game set when you just change it with each upgrade....? Now all my windows I can see through to the point that I can't see the windows. EWven "PINNING" the windows doesn't quite SOLIDIFY the window. Was this intentional? Again, it's one of the many things you left OUT of your list of patch/upgrade ptachnote changes.
And on an aesthetic note:
HORRIBLE BACKGROUND CHANGES... AGAIN: Why do you people bother changing so much visual "crap" when you do not bother fixing the important internal errors and bugs that seemt o follow and grow as the code of the game itself grows? All you do is worsen the game each time. Most notably was the starfield change in 2010. The stars were "softened" instead of the more realistic clean and clear stars... (the spraypaint spattered starfield crap)... then you changed the planets... (our HQ never used to be outside of a ringed dark planet until PI showed up)... and now, we were happy that, of all things (for example), we live in SAISIO... and that had always had a greenish background. I'm all for the idea of inserting nebulas etc, but you changed the entire background to a bluish cloud... with a red nebula. Why? Seriously, why?
PATCH INFO: By the way, did anyone in the office notice your "Patch info" button upon the immediate login screen is extremely out of date... it feels like even the game itself wishes it was rolled back to its previous "Incarna" tion... And I never thought I'd be saying that.

CRUCIBLE 1.0.0 patch #3 (Part 2 of 2)
PLANETARY INTERACTION: There are some serious mathematical problems going on with the constance of "scanner color" and the actual amount of what material is actual there... It simply does not add up. Been petitioning and bug reporting it since 9 months ago. Guess no one cares about that either.
That's all for now, that I noticed in one log in period.
Conclusion: "THUMBS DOWN" on the seemingly smallest, yet crucial things needed with this upgrade, and I haven't even ventured into combat, etc. Dare I even see what my captain's quarters look like or will it all be see-through floors like I've been documenting and bug reporting on for a year and still haven't heard anything from you people about it.
